
Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority Names Pamela L. Davis to
Newly Created Position of Environmental/Sustainability Manager
Appointment Marks First-Ever Environmental Staff Position at Any U.S. Great Lakes Port
Cleveland, Ohio (September 25, 2008) – The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority has tapped Pamela L. Davis for the newly created position of Environmental/Sustainability Manager, the first dedicated environmental staff position at any U.S. Great Lakes port.
Davis will spearhead the Port Authority’s plans to build one of the most environmentally friendly ports on the Great Lakes. She will develop and implement the Port’s natural resource management program at both its current and future sites, oversee compliance with environmental requirements and lead the Port’s efforts to establish Cleveland as an environmentally sensitive region for water, air and land. Davis will also work with federal, state, and local agencies and elected officials on policy development and establish partnerships with allied groups on the development and protection of the river and lakefront.
